Emergence of India as a knowledge super power in the recent years is now being well acknowledged over the globe. India's rapid advancement as a fast growing economy could be possible primarily because of the significant growth of Institutions of higher learning and Universities including the ones with deemed status in general and the growth of science and technology institutions in particular. These institutions have provided the much needed capacity for the development of human capital to propel the growth of knowledge industries in India.

     The challenge that we have at hand now is the challenge of transforming the engineering education systems of India into a system of nurturing word-class quality in the human capital development side by side with the development of intellectual and knowledge capital to support the country's march towards economic and Industrial progress and development.      The Noorul Islam College of Engineering as a well-known technical institution was striving its best to impart knowledge and thereby expertise to fulfil the diversified needs of the society. Now, having attained the status of an University its responsibilities have become manifold and vision broadened.
